For the most part, auto companies have certainly learned from their mistakes: At the 2009 LA Auto Show, there were very few cars you would classify as design faux pas. In other words, there wasn’t a Pontiac Aztek in sight. But that doesn’t mean every aspect of every car looks right. As car designs become more homogenized to meet safety standards and passenger comfort targets, carmakers sometimes resort to odd styling touches to separate their new cars from the rest of the pack.
